Rehab Hydrotherapy
The salt solution acts as a hypertonic poultice as well as having a natural healing effect on wounds. Water aeration has a massaging effect on the leg and increases the dissolved oxygen content of the solution. The depth of the water is proportional to the pressure exerted on the leg which aids fluid and waste dispersal; this can be varied according to position and severity of the injury.
Aqua treadmills can be used with treating injuries such as tendon injuries, pulled suspensories – ligaments, soft tissue injuries, back and foot problems and generally for the rehabilitation of the animal after injury or surgery.
Fab first time on the water treadmill for my horse 'Cow' last night! He can be a nervous horse at times but the staff were brilliant with him so he was perfect, looking forward to our next visit.
